Elgar 95. Mrs Veitch 93). The shoot will close very soon and the president’s (P 1 . O'. Veaile’s) trophy competition starts on Tuesday, August, 14. This is a. competition which always causes keen interest and that of this year will be, I think, no excepIVliss J. Rae has donated a trophy to be fired for and won in one night s shoot and the conditions are live shots and one sighter, free ammunition, entriino© Xs. The juniors are doing fairly well and the leaders in the first round are J. Burst 492, J- Olopham 49), EL Spavin 49, and! J. Tapp 49. So far only six have completed tlie second round and. three the third.. Shooting in this match is very even and several are sure to tie for first, when a shoot off will have to take for first and second. _ J., Tapp,who tied lor third in trie first round dropped 6) points in the second. But he is after the possible in the third round. . A. Wright is very consistent and may be one of the final few. . , „ . Audrey Harding, with 48 in the first round, lias yet to fire her second, hut with a bit of practice and with two rounds td go, she will be unlucky if she is not in the final. L Uttinger has not been at tli© range lateiy owing to illness, but we hope that lie is now O.K. and will be hack this week as well as ever. P. O'. Veale was on the mounds last Tuesday niglit for the first* time and his 48 out of 50 shows that his holiday has not impaired liis eyesight.
