HAWF.RA MEN’S CLUB. THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. The first round of the senior and junior championships of the Hawera Men’s Club is almost completed and a series of very interesting contests was seen in the play of both the grades. One senior match, Hay Mackenzie v. Handyside went to the 20th hole before the former secured the win. Results were as below: — Senior. —O.’Callaghan beat Glasson ; Cox beat Salmon, Hay Mackenzie beat Handyside; Little beat Ritchie; Gorte beat Giblin. Juniors.—Dalgetty beat Pease; G. Strange beat Overliye; Meyriek beat Speedy; Hunt beat C. Robb; McKenzie beat Robinson; Hotter beat D_ Ryan. There are still a few matches to be played and these will be completed on Wednesday.
