A me?tin”- of the Management Committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held at the White Hart Hotel, Hawera. following the representative game yesterday afternoon. There were a resent: Messrs J. McLeod (chairman), W. A. Guy, A. F. Neilson, J. Gar ia, and S. E. Nielson (secretary). The secretary reported having received an intimation from Mr. W. B. Fearon that the' winners of the Hauer a Wednesday division (City) could riot traiel to New Plymouth on August 11 to play in the final series with Tu!:apa, th'> winners of the western division. City were willing, however, to travel to New Plymouth on a Wednesday or meet the western team at Haworn on a Saturday. Tukapa were willin L to travel on a Saturday. 7t was decided that the game be slaved at Haweia on Saturday, August 18, at -2.4.0. . . In the south division first jumora it was reported that Hawera and Waimate were level. ..... in the northern division Ureniu and ( lift-Mi were level, and in the central division Stratford. Celtic, and Toko were still in the running. • The fourth grade semi-final between Elt ham (central) and Star (northern) was iived to l.e played at Inglewood on Thursday. August 16. or Saturday, ! It was reported that in the south Waimate and Hawera High | School had \et to decide the leadership 'of that division. i In the third grade competition the final between Tuaapn, winners of the northern division, and Stratford Technical High School will lie played at New Plymouth to-morrow as a curtainraiser to the Hawke’s Bay match. Okaiawa and Stratford were granted permission to p ay a friendly match at Strat ord on Thursday next as a benerit to*injured players in each team.
