"Hawera and wo look forward (■:)«- fidently to our third year. - PRESIDENT’S REPORT. Mrs Facer, president of the association, reported as follows: — “The progressof the movement in Haivera has been most satisfactory during the last year. We have found it necessary to form two new 'companies and have been fortunate in obtaining Miss Young and Miss (Stewart to act as captains. The Ranger Company .suffered. somewhat from the lack ■of leader for Miss Britland found it impossible to carry on the work. Mrs Whitehead has now taken on this important branch of the work and I have no doubt the Rangers 'will now move forward and prosper. The Brownie Packs are satisfactory, t>ut here we suffer from a lack of senior officers, which are required to advise and guide the younger ones. Miss 'Corrigan applied for a year’s leave of, absence and her loss was 'great, as it leaves Miss Southcombe with the (burden of being the only Brown Owl. “In February we held a very successful shop day, assisted by 'the G-uirt-ers and friends, which has enabled us to finish the year without a further appeal for funds. “The committee entertained the Guides and Brownies at parties on their several birthdays, both of which functions were well attended and I think, much appreciated. “I should like to extend my thanks to all who 'have assisted us during the past yCar and especially the borough council for the use of their room for meetings; St. Mary’s Vestry, the Scout. Committee, and the winter show for .the use of their halls for parades; the dog trial committee, for their generous donation; those ladies and .gentlemen who have acted as special instructors and examiners; Mrs Lovell, for her assistance with the flower show; and the outgoing committee, who have so loyally supported me during the year.” ELECTION OF OFFTiCERS. The following ladies and gentlemen were elected as office-bearers for the ensuing year:— President, Mrs E. A. Pacev (re-elect-ed unopposed); vice-presidents, Mosdnmes .To'bson. 'Welch, Lovell, Lysaght, Corrigan, and Messrs IT. O. Dickie. M.P., E. A. Packey and John 'Houston: executive committee, Mosdames Morris, Velvin, TT'arding, Pierce. Ashton. Quiii, Burrell, Adams, and Baker. Tlie various reports from captains of patrols, etc., were received and ndop.ed. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.

COME TO THE WAIKATO. 'T'HIS District otters wonderful opportunities to those who axe dairy farming. We have farms from 50 to 300 acres on our books, with prices ranging from £2O to £SO per acre. Here is one for example: 75 acres at £4O per acre, carrying 40 cows. Last season 12.500ibs of fat were taken off this place, and this amount can easily be maintained. £SOO cash puts an apnroved man in possession and the balance remains on easy terms, district. There is nothing in Taranaki to touch Waikato farm values. Just let us have the chance of driving von round the TE ABOHA REAL ESTATE CO., P.O. BOX TE ABOHA.
