Received 10.15 a.m. to-day. AAISTERD AAI, Aug. 6. At the Olympic Games the 1-500 metres .ree style swim final resulted:

Arne Eorg (Sweden), 19m in. 51 4-ssec 1 Andrew Charlton (Australia), 26min. 2 3-ssec 2 Crabbe (America) 3 Borg led throughout. He was eight metres ahead at halfway, and increased his lead in the last 150 metres and won by 15 metres, with 20 metres between second and third The time was an Olympic record. Women's 400 metres free style swim, final.—Miss Norelims (America), Mdlle Braun (Ho hand), and Aliss Ale Kim (America) tied. The time was smin. 42 4-osec.. a world’s record.
