DEATH FOLLOWS FALL FROM
HORSE

A verdict of death from laceration of the brain was returned by the (Coroner, Mr. Levvv, iS.M., at lan inquest, held this morning concerning the death of Heremaia Tahumatai, aged G 5, who died in the hospital on July 29 as the result of injuries sustained through falling from his horse at Whangara on the previous day.
DOCTOR IN’ MOTOR ACCIDENT. ROTORUA, Aug. 6. On Saturday night at 9 o’clock, a car owned and driven by Dr. Hoeken, ot Hamilton, crashed into a stationary car owned bv Mr R. C: Bisgiwe, of Trenton St.* Dr. Hoeken received facial cuts and minor injuries. Mr H. Allison, an occupant of Mr Bisgrove’s car was cut on the eye hut his injuries were not serious. The other occupants of both cars were not hurt. The impact was very severe, the stationary car being carried on to the footpath. Dr. Hocken’s car a new one of the heavy type, was badly wrecked and the other vehicle, also new, was much damaged.
