Arnold, who was absent for- a couple of nights, was back on the mounds ‘bust Friday night, showing a slight improvement. Mrs F. ltae was on the .mound last week, b-u': is a long way below her true ;orm and w.i-M need a. lot- of practice to reach the form shown last year. Bruce Watts was thinking more about -piston rings the other night, and fired his- shots all round the bull in-sitea-d yi in the centre. However, we hope druCM will be on the sparking plugs nextweek and. make- it hot for the bullseye-. James Buist, -a chip off the old block, has little to say, but is making Inis presence, felt. His fellow-juniors could well take a lesson iron) him. J. Clap-ham, if he watches himself, and lweps steady, will give young Buist a run for his money. E. Spavin connected a few good ones til© other night and if he iveeps steady he may get home with a knock-out in the last round. R. Stevens is a good trier, and with more practice is sure to make good. D. Buist is good in practice, but often drops a few points when it comes to any tiling that counts. R, Allan requires practice with particular attention to sights. Betty Stevens is making a big improvement in her shooting, and is evidently taking notice cf the coaching she has had.

I. Kirk could do with some practice and perhaps a little couching, as he seems steady'enough and ought to make a good shot. * . , Kath. Petersen has been competing in open company and her handicap has suffered very much owing to one or two good scores in the previous trophy shoot. However, she is bound to go up, whereas those above her may come down a little. The special match between the Chib and a team from the staff of Alessrs Geo. Sytne and Co., Ltd., is to be fired on Tuesday night, when the range will be open to all visitors
