The ordinary meeting of Loyal Union Lodge (Manchester Unity Oddfellow's') was held on Tuesday evening, Bio. 0. Tidswell, N.G., presiding. A letter of recommendation was granted a brother who had transferred to another district. One candidate was proposed for membership. Matters concerning the lodge hall on the 14th ins*. were dealt with, and everything points to a successful function. Several members agreed to assist in decorating op. the Saturday. "It was decided that members residing in the Hawera district would not reouire invitations. Owing to the ball being held on lodge night, the lodge meeting will be held at 7 o’clock.
