WANG ANUI TO NFAV PLYMOUTH FASTER SERVICE TO BE INSTI- - Travellers by train on the section Wanganui to New Plymouth will learn with pleasure that as frooii August 13 a fast passenger train each way will take place of the present slow mixed trains. This will! be almost like a second express service, and the train will stop at all stations en route. The alteration will mean that a fast train will leave Wanganui at 5.20 a.m., arriving at Hawera at about- 11 u.m. and New Plymouth "at 1 pan., while the train from New Plymouth wall leave at 1.50 p.m. reaching Haw-era at 3.40 p.m. and Wanganui at 6.8 p.m. The present 9.30 a.m. train from AVanganui (12.30 at Hawera), arid 12.30 from New Plymouth (4.10 at Hawera) will be cancelled. . The change will be greatly valued by people south of Hawera-, becaiise they will now be able to, .reach town an hour before midday and leave again twentyfive minutes earlier than at present and leach home, before tea time. [Passengers f.romi the Main Trunk by the Limited will be able to connect with this train, whilst passengers from Taranaki, by motoring from Wanganui to Marten, will be able, to catch the Limited for the Main Trunk. The new service comes into operation from August 13.
