ORDER OF FORESTERS.
COURT EGMONT LODGE. The fortnightly meeting of Court Egmont Lodge was held in the Foresters’ Hall, Hawera, last evening, Bro. A. J. Gyde presiding. Other officers present were; Bro.- W. H. Rudge, P.C.R (who acted in place of S.C.R. Bro. H. G. Stebbing, from whom an apology was received for unavoidable absence)- Bro. C. K. Webber, S.W.; Bro. W. R. Evans, J.W.; Bro. E. W. Barringer, 5.8.; Bro. M. T. Clark, J. 8 .; and Bro. 0. A. Shapcott, secretary. The secretary reported that there were at present five members on the sick fund, and that one had declared off since the previous meeting This was an exceptionally satisfactory position for this time of the year. After the disposal of routine business the initiation of three new members was carried out under the direction of the C.R., Bro. A. J. Gyde, who in welcoming the new members urged them, as well as all other members, to secure as many new members for the Court as they could. At the conclusion of business members present enjoyed the light suppe»‘ provided, during which plans for furthering the social activities of the Court were discussed.
