Frederick Lloyd John Morgan, aged 34. a married man, was charged under section 14 of th© Family Allowances Act with presenting a false document to obtain an allowance. He pleaded guilty and was fined £2, default fourteen days’ imprisonment. The defendant, in his application, stated that he was employed by a certain firm at a weekly wage of £l, whereas he had been employed by another firm at <a weekly wage of £4 3s. This was the first case of th© kind heard.
