ARARATA APPEAL FUND

COLLECTING LISTS CALLED IN NEARLY £3OO REALISED. In response to the request made, in those cal minis yesterday, several additional amounts (ollectixl on 'behalf ot Aranita Appeal Fund have been gent to the “Star” office. Yesterday the total amount acknowledged was £24-5 13s_0d. and it was hoped that the final! receipt® would bring the total up to £250. This anticipation has been exceeded, thanks largely to the further efforts cf Mr and Mrs Don Robertson, of Normanby. It will be- remembered that these residents raised, b«- personal canvas®, the surprisingly large sum of £lO4 7 s 6d up to a f'3w weeks ago, hut in their entlmsiusm for the cause they have continued their efforts, and yesterday handed over a further sum of £37 12® Gd.
