NEW PLYMOUTH BEAT HAMILTON At Hamilton on Saturday New Plymouth Higli School scored u decisive .win from -Hamilton, notcriiing no less than 26 points to. their opponents’ five points. The New Plymouth line was ' (mossed only (nice in the match. Up tdi ball time t/ie focal boys' hold their own very well and w.cre omy lour points bemud, but in the second spell New -Plymouth ran away from them. A few minutes after the start, Watson scored a pretty try for the winners, ihe kick failing. Then there was a peiiod of brilliant play cm both sides, and just before the first quad ter, Tombs, scored a line try for Hamilton and converted, giving them the lead. New Plymouth, playing up well, scored two more tries before half time, Elcdali 1 and Fooltes both going over the line and the spell ended 9 to o, in favour of New Plymouth. The third quarter saw matters very even and osly one try was secured by the winners, MciCnllum crossing after a really good run. But in the concluding stages, New Plymouth had much the better of (he play and added two tries by Ekdalil and Brown. Anderson converting both, and a potted goal by Fookes, making their total 26 points to Hamilton s five.
