HUNTING.
LAST. MEET OF THE SEASON. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The last official hunt for this season was held at Kakaramea on Saturday last in fine weather, the occasion being the cjnaster’s hunt, and a large number of (.sportsmen attended. Hares were far from plentiful, and only one kill was recorded, although with some good runs a fine display of jumping was witnessed. Hunting took place over the properties of Messrs Clinton, Walsh, Morris, Fowler, Chamberlain, Dwyers, Barraclough, and Watt Bros., to whom thanks were accorded for the privilege. Mr. H. Crocker thanked Dr. and Mrs. Simmons for their hospitality and called for three cheers,, which were enthusiastically given. Amongst those following were: Dr. Simmons on Barham, D. Lupton on Nefische, H Crocker on Overtax, C. G. Myles on Bonny Flyer, T. Lupton on Black Eel, M. Spence on Dinkum, T. Simson on Otautu, I. Lupton on Red Bird, J. Sheahan on Wallace, S. McRae on Manahura, S. Davidson on C’harmali'ne, E. Davidson on Plum Duff, S. Shield on Loch Ellen, A. Fowler on Black Boy, J. Hurley on Miss Opaku, S. Boyd on Royal Flight, H. L. Spratt on Suede, Miss Fowler on Roily, Muss Gibson on Grey Dawn, Miss Southcomb •m Ginger, Miss Smitheran on White Wings, Miss Alexander on Lively Fire. Those in cars were Mr. and Mrs. W. Patterson, Miss Davidson, Mrs, E. Davidson. Mrs. S. Davidson and party, Mrs. S. Mcßae and party, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lupton Mrs. Lupton, Mr. J. E. Palmer, Mr. W. H.
