Surrey, first innings 219 (Sheppard 60, Peach not out 94), MacDonald taking six wickets for 99 and If. Tyldtasley four for 37; second, 2-38 (Sheppard 117), MacDonald eix wickets toy 98. Lancashire, first innings 486 (Id don 184, retired hurt, Halliday 90)) Allonr five wickets for 127. Lancashire won by an innings and 9 runs. Kent, first innings 376 (Ashdown 72, Crawley 109, Woolley not out 32); second, ,312 for four wickets, declared (Woolley 198, Ames 62). Derbyshire, first 331 (0. Jackson 73, Ford 64), Capes four wickets for 33 ; second, 222 for six wickets Hutchinson 56, Stoipr 85. Kent won on the first innings. Yorkshire, first innings 512 for nine wickets, declared (Holmes 53, Mitchell 80, Oldrovd' 112, Rhodes -»0, Macaulay not out. 67). Essex, first 1.93 (Cutmore 56), Rhodes taking four for 26, followed on., and'made 104 in the second, Rhode's faking four for 10. Yorkshire won by an .innings and 215 runs. Warwickshire, first innings 2// (Groom 74, Smith 50. Santail 57) Utley taking six for 43; second, 351 (fvilner 90. Bates 81. Wyatt not out 91), Utley taking six for 97. Hampshire, first 536 (Kennedy 73, Hosie .95. Newman 84, Mead 180) ; second, 93 for two wickets. Hants won by eight wickets. Sussex, first innings 571 for nine
wickets,- declared (J. Paries 75, Duleepsinhji 198. H. Turks not out 100). Northamptonshire, first innings 158 Rowley, taking eight lor 62; followed on and made 210, Laugbridge taking six for 82. Sussex won by an innings and 203 runs.
Middlesex, first innings, 289 (Lee 64, Hendren 87,) Ba.rratt taking six for 93; second, 346 (Hendren 60, Leo 108, Bel- 1 lington 82). Richmond taking five for; 121. Nottinghamshire, first 3SB (Whysall 61, Walker 63, A. Staples »2), Durston taking four for 66; second, 234 (Liilley 70), Durston taking six for 70. : Middlesex won by 13 runs’. Hendren is the first batsman to. reach two thousand runs this season. For (lion costers hi re against Glamorgan Sea,brook ade 136 and Sinfield 61, and. Parker secured six wickets for 44. For Giamorea 801 l made 61 and Turnbull 50. Mercer getting seven wickets for 57. Gloucester won. For Worcestershire against Leicestershire. W. Quaifo made 67 net out and Hill took five wickets for 113. For Leicestbrsjiire Berry made 207, Armstrong 63 "and ftidiwefl 79, Smith taking three wickets for 10 and five for 56; Coleman fiv;? for 39; and A still four for 45. Leicestershire won.
