The results of the lady vice-presi-dent ’s trophy competition of the Hawera Miniature Rifle 'Club (best two of three sh-o'ts) are given below, with handicaps added: — Aliss T. Ingram 198-}, Air L. Uttinger 198}, -tie for first place; Mr C. Arnold 197|, Air G. Harding 197}, Aliss E. Rae 197 J, Aliss K. Petersen 196 f, Air P. Petersen 196, Air E. Booth 19-5, Air L. Rush 195, Air A. Elgar 194 J, Air C. Alieklesin 194}, Aliss J. Rae 191}. The home and home match fired last Tuesday by the local ladies against Castlecliff resulted in a win for Hawera by eight points. The scores were:— Hawera. —Aliss T. Ingram 68, Aliss J. Rae 67, Mrs A r eitch 66, Miss E. Rae 65, Aliss K. Petersen 59, Aliss Sandford 51; total 376. Castlecliff. —Airs Anthony 64, Aliss Lloyd 64, Aliss Walker 62, Airs Haywood 61, Airs Gerrie 59, Mrs Bekker 58; total 3CS. The first round of Booth’s trophy closes on July 27. ‘So far only eight •have entered, -but it is hoped that the -number will be greatly increased .before the closing date. Shooting in. a junior handicap will start next Tuesday, the conditions for which are: Three rounds of five shots and one sighter, best two rounds to count.
