When asked for the reason of the discrepancy in price between the Danish and New Zealand butter at times Mr. Warren, a London buyer, at a ’meeting of the directors of the Maurice ville Dairy Company, stated that about two-thirds of Danish butter wa.s vsent to Dritain, while took about one-third. Every week the Danes cleaned up all their stocks. It sometimes happened that America bought for exchange purposes 3000 to 5000 boxes, which created a shortage of Danish, and up went the price Then, a sharp discrepancy was created between Danish and New Zealand butter because certain people at Home bought Danish at any price.
