The Prime Minister has advised the combined schools committee at Ruawai (north Auckland) that Cabinet hiaisi approved a .scheme, for the cpntraii-sation of the- schools in the Ruawai district, and has granted £7428 towards, the cost of erecting buildings, and; purchasing four buses for the conveyance- of children. The Auckland Education Board ha-s been authorised to. proceed with tlie work, and the Post and Telegraph Department is .purchasing suitable chassis for the buses. Tine buses will Ibe driven by assistant teachers l . Tlie school will be built oil an 'education reserve of _3O acres at Ran no, "adjoining the existing school. The Ruawai, Nau.mai, Wh.aimanuj- and! Aram-a schools, and the present Raupo -school will be disestablished.
