BLOWN TO SEA
FISHERMEN IN A GALE. LAUNCH DRIFTS HELPLESSLY A TRYING EXPERIENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 10. 'Allen and Bartholomew, tho fiisjiejV men who were driven to csea in a launch, report having had an arduous experience. They left port at 7.30 a.m. on Friday with a few sandwiches and) a flask of tea. Tire weather was line, but 'the engine gave trouble. After fishing for some time the wind ioci'eased and the launch drifted down (the coast befc.ie tine heavy seas. All day Saturday and Sunday they drifted helplessly. On Monday morning the wnid. changed and blew them nine o’clock in the evening the launch grounded near Pit mho and they reached shore, and after, a. long walk reached a settlor's house in a yerv exhausted condition.
