A collision between the bay steamer Ediinti. and the tag Ho veil at the .entrance of the Yarra river .resulted in the; Hovel.l .sinking instantly. Three of the caew were rescued in an exhausted condition.

A shop site in the heart cf Sydney, in Pitt Street-, changed hands at £4060 per foot, which is easily a record in city vai'ues. The. same site ten years ago was worth about £IOOO per loot.
BOY SERIOUSLY INJURED

Douglas Baker Essendon, 11 years of age, whose parents: .reside in New Zealand, was run over by a motoir-car. H:,s skull was fractured and lip is in a critical condition.
