When the -Oharch Assembly -opens to. day the Primate will announce the recommendations -of the bishops’ conference -in regard to the rejection of the revised Prayer Book and will probably intimate his own resignation, which would operate from Christmas. The church 'Correspondent of, the “Daily Express” states -that many church men. including- some .bishops, are resenting Parliament’s action. Many Nonconformists, fearful of the Church of England’s alleged E-onieward trend, are demanding disestablishment, and Mr Lloyd -George will -possibly exploit the deep Protestan'tism evidenced in th-e House Of Comm-o-ns debates and make disestablishmen't la. plank in -the Liberal Party's platform.
