MOKOIA BOY SCOUTS.
FAREWELL TO MEMBERS,
During the parade of the Mokoia Boy Scouts on. Wednesday evening the opportunity was taken to say farewell to two members of the troop, Patrol H. Phillips and Scout E. 1 ini lips. Scoutmaster Cowie expressed the great regret felt at the .loss of these t\vo valuable members, fie jpeferrecl to the fact that both boy® liatl recently qualified: as King’s Scouts, and said that, at all times they had taken a leading part in the activities of the troop. A suggestion had been made "’ith the help of Mr. and Mrs. 1 ml ups, who have been keen members of the Scout- Committee, these two Ivoys- should undertake the organising of a troop in their new home,at Pungarehu Scoutmaster Cowie handed to each boy a. pocket wallet as a memento £' owhvill and appreciation of their fellow scouts, and. expressed the nest wishes to them- in their new home.
Air. S. Tidswell, chairman of the committee, also added a word of appreciation to the boys and to Mr. and Mrs. Phillips for their ever ready help. Patrol Lender Phillips thanked the boys for their thoughtfulness in making the presentation. Cheers were then given for * the guests of the evening.
