Mr Frank Lysons, after a month’s sojourn in hospital, is. about town again. * Mr R, IV. Tate, S.M., arrived in Hawera by the mail train t«hi,s morning to preside at the Hawera sittings of the Magistrate’s Court. During his stiay in town Mr Tate will be a guest at the Central Hotel.

His Grace Archbishop O’Shea was in Hawera over the week-end, the guest of Rev. Father Cullen.

Mr Fred IV. Slater, conductor of the IVanganiui Ghor-ail Society, has been invited by tlie Male Olioir in Hawera to ad-dress the members at their practice. To this he has consented atnd he will reach Haiwera by service car to-day. Ho will stay with Mr a-n-d- Mrs O. M. Haggett.
