DEATH FROM INJURIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 23. John Moore, who was knocked down by a motor-car on June 4, died at the hospital last night. ACCIDENTAL DEATH. WAIROA, June 23. At the inquest concerning the death John Thomas fat. Peir, who, was killed last Wednesday at the Tuai -hydroelectric works, jt verdict of accidental death was returned. DEATH FROM OVERDOSE OF DRUG. DUNEDIN, June 22. At the inquest concerning tre death of Edward Hay, a single man, aged 45 .tears, who died at a result of an overdose of sulphorial tabloids, the Coroner drew attention to the menace of both sulphonal and veronal if these tabloids were taken otherwise than according to- medical prescription.
Dr. Ritchie said that doses that brought dangerous results varied according to individual cases. In some instances thirty grains' (six tabloids) had been known to kill; in other, cases the danger point was reached at. 50, 60, or even 80 that acted very-slowly, and no doubt the deceased had been taking it. It should not be sold without a definite warning, and it yvas risky to sell one hundred at one time. A verdict yvas returned that deceased died as a result of an overdose of sulphonal. , . ....
