TRAM AND LORRY COLLIDE

An Island Bay hound tram this morning collided with a motor lorry which was hacking out of Herald Street. The front of the ear was ■smashed, and Motorman Hurley had a narrow escape. He was admitted to hospital suffering from cuts and slight concussion.
