A dispute, came before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr Hally to-day, in which, the parties were the Amahgamatod Engineers and Alliied Trades Industrial Association of Workers, and the New Zealand Motor Traders’ Association, the scope of the dispute being tthe Northern,. Taranaki, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury and Otago districts. The union is asking for a. 40 houirs’ week against the employers’ offer of 47, with wages from £8 downwards. Tlhe employers offer from 2e* per hour.
