In the advertising columns will he found particulars of a clearing sale to be .held on Friday, next on behalf of Mrs Jos. Robson, of Pembroke Road, Stratford. This is an old-established herd having been founded seventeen yeai s ago. Mr Robson lias been a great believer in eulLling every year and drifting in from 12 to 15 lie if el's of his own breeding to replace those put out. Mr Robson lias just recently sold ten cull cows through the Stratford saleyards and intended.to replace these.with the heifers, advertised, but owing, to ill health, he is compelled to offer the whole of his live, and dead stock under the hammer. Tihe herd are a. good line of deep bodied c-ows and ; are all due to a grandson of Sultan’s Daisy, the majority calving in July and .August. .The heifers are also due to a- pedigree Jersey yearling 'bull: Two-thirds of the herd are Jerseys,, the balance being Jersey, Shorthorn and Holstein cress. Newton King, Ltd., advertise a fresh list of .properties for sale in this issue. Two fresh properties for safe are advertised bv the Farmers’ Co-op. in. this R P. Morrissey and Co. will sell by :■ U'.ilic auction at Wilson Street, at 11 .a:m, to-morrow, on account of Mr T. Parkinscn. timber, iron and .sundries; xt the mart at 1.15 p.m., furniture and . dfeefs. fruit, produre, .vegetables!, poultry, and on account cf Mr A. B. Wright OhrkuneL drapery, boots and .shoes, ind ladies’ and* men’s underwear. The attention of dairy farmers is drawn to the advertisement of Mr. P. M. Pratt’s sale appearing in the auction columns of this isisue. This young herd of 52 cows is well and avourably known in the Matapu district, the majority of the cows being third and fourth calvers. Individual dates and tests will be available at the sale.
