Thomas called attention to. Judge Atherley-JonesV speech criticising the police. They asked would action be taken. Sir William Joynson-Hicks: “I pre";?i to make, -no pronouncement- on the udige’s .speech.” M?f Thomas: “Ha® the tribuna,’, power to commit for contempt of court?” Sir William: “Yes.” Mr Thomas: “Even if a judge?” ,sir William did not answer.
