SIR GEORGE WILKINS'S EXPEDITION.

LONDON, June 6
Sir George Wilkins and Lieutenant Eielson, who recently flew across the North Pole, arrived at Croydon to-day by a German ,air liner from Amsterdam. They will remain in London until June 19, when they will depart for America.
“My South. Polar expedition is definitely arranged to start from Panama on November 1,” said Sir George Wb kirns. “My machine is already built, it will be of double the honse-power of the Arctic ’plane, and mil take off from King Edward the' Seventh Land in an attempt to travel 2500 miles across an unexplored area to Graham's Land much of which lias not been seen by man. That isi why ive are going.” 'Che two companions who are to travel with Sir George Wilkins have not yet been chosen. Sir George considers a trans-polar air service feasible, reducing the distance to America and China by two-thirds. ANOTHER EXPEDITION PLANNED. Received 10.55 a.m. to-dav. NEW YORK. June 7. Air Douglas Geo. Jeffrey, a retired British banker and a member of one of Shackle ton’, s expeditions, announced to•a.v that lie will head an Arctic expedition of 05 men and two ’planes, leaving u September and returning in May.
