LONDON, June 3. Plans for the Anglo-Indian air route are now being completed, and are expected to be in full operation by April 4, 1929, bringing Delhi within eight days of London. Meanwhile sections are being opened.
Major Humphrey, general manager of Imperial Airways, has gone to Persia, following the recent Anglo Persian agreement, to discuss with the Government the Persian Gulf route, enabling the extension of the CoiroBasra route to Karachi and Delhi, for which the air liners and other equipment are nearly ready. It is expected the London-Cairo route will be opened by overland triple screw air liners, similar to those x'sed on the London-Buropean lines, while tbe trans-Mediterranean flights will be made by all-metal flying boats, if which three are now being completed. They are the first passenger craft to be fitted with the slotted wings safety device.
