. o—•JUDGING AT TE ROTI. ‘ Root crops in the schools ooinprtitioii were judged at Te Roti yesterday. Messrs Hitchcock; . and Clements took the school children round to isee the judging. In the afternoon Mrs Hitchcock kindly entertained! tlie party alb afternoon. ’ tea in their home. Two of the Te Roti oMldren secured ■fill:', marks for cultivation, the crops generally- being well worked. Results were as below : Mangolds. Levina Hitchcock. —So ton-s 19cwt, 852, cultivation 40, quality 71, total points 1331. Jack Jordan. —81 tons 12cwt. Sl-L cultivation 38, qaulity B£, total 128. Jack Barrett. —60 tons 15cwt, 602, cultivation 33, qaulity 8, total 1013. Hilda Barrett.—so tons 2cwt 50; cultivation 32, quality 7, total 89. Mona Barrett.—4s tons, 45, cultivation 32, quality 7J, total! 844. Ruby Coleman. —-40 tons 6cwt., 401, cultivation 38, quality S, total 861. Leonie Hitchcock.—-37 tons 18cwb., 372, -coiliivation 40, quality 8, total 852. Leslie Dournouf.—42 toils IScwifc.. 423 cultivation 36, quality 5, total 832.
