PACT OF NEUTRALITY

ITALY AND TURKEY SION END OF SUSPICIONS. FROM TRIADITIONAL POLICY. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (“TIMES” CABLES.) Received 2.10 p.m., to-day. LONDON, May 30. The Rome correspondent of “The Times”, states: Signor Mussolini and the -Turkish Ambassador have signed an Italo-Turkish pact of neutrality, conciliation and arbitration. It is interpreted as meaning the end of the lingering Turkish suspicious, of Italy. It is pointed out that it is the first instrument of its kind that Turkey has concluded with any Western Power except Soviet Russia, thus Italian confidence in new Turkey breaks away from the legendary European policy, which has long regarded Turkey as a “sick man.’’
