SWIMMING.

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. Last night at the Savoy the Hawera Amateur Swimming Club’s dance and presentation of cups and trophies won during the.-sca.son took place. The cups were presented, on behalf of the club' by Mr. \Y. A. Spragg to the following: Senior, M. Wood: junior. (!. Mcyrick ; novice, .T, Oliver: challenge cup lor the boys’ clubs’ relay : Hawera. Central (i'\ Champion, X. Anderson, A. Spragg, \ T . Spragg): medals were also presented to the different winners .at the last Taranaki championships. Mr. F. Champion’s medal for the most points won in the ladies’ events was presented to Miss Z. Spragg. Trophies won at the chib’s carnivals during the season were also presented. In spite of the inclemency of the weather there was a large crowd including visitors from outside clubs, present and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Tribute was paid to the ladies’ committee and to Mr. Ralph Sage, secretary of the club, for the excellent arrangements made. The duties of M’.s.O. were ably carried out by Messrs Ri. Sage and A. Walker.
