POOTOAiLLi MATCH ON PROGRAMME.
To-morrow (Wednesday) will see the sports meeting of the MeremereOhangai Club which is to be -held on a paddock at Mr.- J. .Anderson’s farm, Ohangai. The meeting was postponed from last week, but all indications are that it will be most successful, for the nominations promise large fields in all events. These comprise athletic (for hoys and men), horse-leaping, spring cart horses and school ponies, sawing and chopping competitions, and a host of sundry events. At 2.30 p.m. will be' played the Rugby fixture between Ohangai and Whare roa first teams and a great contest- is expected. This will make a fine finale to the day's programme. There will he children's itacos during j the day and a .roffVshment booth wiil be on the ground. The committee with the joint secretaries, Mr. A. Williams and Mr. P. Shearman, have worked hard to ensure chat all arrangements shall he of the best and they will see that all gom without a, hitch.
