All the Americans have been eliminated from the amateur golf championship The ex-champion Holderness, beat the chief hope, J. McHugh, the Californian champion, in the second round, two up and one to play. Lang beat Hezlet in the second round, one up. The ex-champion Wethered beat Oppenheimer in the second round by 4—3. R. Cant (Carnoustie) beat Gunson, the New Zealander, in the third round 4 —3.
