A Press Association message from Carterton reports the sudden death yesterday afternoon of Mr. William Arthur Kitchen, aged 65 years. The deceased, had been a> resident of Carterton’for 35 years, for most of which time lie was manger of the drapery department of the W.F.C.A. He was a Justice of the'Peace, and took an active interest in all matters promoted for the welfare of the town. He leaves a widow and a son. He had been ill from heart trouble for some years.
