ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. “THE CRADLE SNATCHERS.” Without exaggeration this is ij l . o best comedy drama of the year. This story, of tliroo wifos wlio find tAis/fc their husbands go hunting, hot for ducks' as they claim, but for chickens, and who turn, the tables on their deceivers by hiring three college boys to make love to them to arouse their husbands’ jealousies, is screamingly funny. The sub-titles which accompany the action, the casting, direction, and the story itself make all together a perfect picture. Louise Fazenda, gorgeous blonde, who insists on having a real Spanish lover with a kick while she is at the business of getting even with hubby, is ideally cast, and gives a perfect performance of a, neglected wife who, turns loose for the time of her life, while J. Farrell MacDonald as her duck hunting husband finds too late that his wife was not as easy as she looked. Ethel Wales and Dorothy Phillips as the other two wives, and the three college boys hired to act the Romeos for the occasion, do their share towards making “Cradle' Snatchers” the unqualified l success it is. The box plan for the season is at the Opera House Confectionery. “The Cradle Snatchers” opens a three-night season at the Opera; House to-night. There will be a special matinee to-morrow (Thursday), commencing at 2 p.m.

GRAND THEATRE—TO-NIGHT

a “NEVADA.”

One of the few writers whose stories can be easily and almost literally translated to the screen is Zane Grey, famous for his Western romances, according to Director John Waters. The latest Zane Grey story to be filmed for Paramount by Waters is “Nevada,” which opens at the Grand' Theatre to-night. It has quick changes in situation and a plot of thrilling adventure that develops rapidly. Its locale is the cattle country in the days of turbulence and gun play. Gary Cooper is the heTo, Thelma Todd supplies' the love interest, and the villainy is contributed by William Powell. There is an excellent supporting programme.
