LABOUR FEUD.

BITTED EIGHT IN SOUTH AFBICA

LABOUR LEADER’S MANIFESTO.

IUNiIED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY KLECTJUC (UNITED SERVICE.)

CAPETOWN, May 15. The Hon. F. H. P. C res we 11 (Labour leader) issued his promised manifesto to-day. substantially on the lines indicated. It immediately provoked bitter replies from supporters of the national council of the Labour Party. A strenuous and almost envenomed feud is proceeding. Mr. C res wo II being (barged with having rent the Labour Party from top to bottom and having sent the Labour organisation back to pre-war days for ft is own political ends. None the less, opinion inclines to the view that Mr. Cre swell may succeed in his attempt to capture the machinery of the party from the hands of the national council, though only after a. fight which will probably prove utterly disastrous to the party.
