Southern Matches Postponed

NORTHERN DIVISION RESULTS GOOD FOOTBALL AT STRATFORD STAR-INGLEWOOD PLAY ROUGH GAME On account of the races in Hawera, all southern division Rugby matches were postponed on Saturday. The northern division matches were played according to schedule in perfect weather. Inglewood, who have been on the up-grade of late, beat Star with not too much to spare, but the game was robbed of much of its proper interest by the questionable tactics of some of the players on either side. Okato, the newcomers to the senior competition, found Tukapa much too strong for them, and Eltham went down before the better play of Old Boys. The StratfordClifton game provided some of the best football seen so, far this season, and though Stratford won by a comfortable margin, the difference in the respective merits of the teams was not so marked as the scores would indicate.
