GOOD GENERAL COMPETITION. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTRIC ‘ TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received 12.30 p.m. to-day. LONDON, May 11. At the wool sales, 9660 bales; were sold, of which 1 5051 wore New' Zealand and 1698 Australian. There was a miscellaneous' selection of merinois, a moderate offering of greasy crossbreds, mostly isecond-hands, and 1 an excellentselection of slipie-s. Good .general competition prevailed at late rates. New Zealand clips sold were: —Ur cot 24d to 23d, H'ikn 21* and 20d; AY and C 25d and 19*d.
