Glamorgan in the first innings made 128 (MacDonald took six for 38), and in the second 294 for four wickets 1 (Riches 110 not out). Lancashire in the first innings made 394 for eight wickets declared (Watson 104, Hallows 101, Makepeace 57, E. Tyldcsley 70). Worcestershire in the first innings made 402 (Williams, not out 76, Root 64). Yorkshire in' the first innings made '393 for five wickets (Holmes SB. Lc-vlahd, not out, 166).
Middlesex in the first innings made 471 for six wickets declared (Hendren 157. Hearne not out ’233) and in the sreonrt innings they made 16 for no wickets. Somerset in the first innings made 376 (Young 66, White 65, Tnglc 117).
'Cambridge University made 402 for eight declared in the first innings (Robins fi!>, M. Turnbull IG9, Seabrook 1 OS, and in the second 18 for two wickets. Oxford TJniversitv in the first innings made 2-16 (iCrowlev 112). They followed on and made 141 for four wickets.
