STRATFORD 3 v. CELTIC 2. Playing at Stratford' on Saturday, till© horn© "team -won by a margin, of one point, after a close and evenly contested game. Stratford iron the toss and Celtic kicked off downhill. G. Moloney after ten minutes scored for Celtic. Stratford then attacked, and J. Baker, with a long dropping kick scored. The play was fairly even for the next quarter of an hour/ After a bit of neat play J. Cowie passed to Fr amp ton to score. There was then a corner for Stratford, and Scurr scored by the kick from Airde. The game was then very hardly contested, until two minutes before time, when Pincher went through from about the half-way line to score, winning the game for Stratford .by one goal. Mr. McNeill refereed. HAWER A - ALTON GAME. Owing to .sieknesw, the Aaron Club waist unable to fulfil „ its engagement with Haweral on the latter’s ground on Saturday, but the country team is to be given an opportunity of playing the' fixture at a later date.
