Otakeho School Committee has had only two chairmen in about 30 years. Sir William Le Fleming acted in that capacity for 16 years, and Mr. H. J. Eaves followed him for about the same period. Now it is fitting that they should be succeeded by Mr. S. Le "Fleming, a son of Sir William.
At the annual meeting of householders at Otakeho it was mentioned that Mr. H. J. Eaves had been chairman of the School Committee for about 16 years, and that Mr. L. S. Mackie had been secretary for many years during that same period. Neitner of them sought re-election this year, and the meeting therefore had to regretfuly accept their decision. Hearty appreciation w r as expressed of the good work done by both Mr. Eaves and Mr. Mackie.
