FIIJ’S FUTURE

SYDNEY, May 3. Sir Henry Scott, K.C., of Suva, responding to his health, proposed at a luncheon with the State Government, said that ho was of the opinion that some form of union might he established between New South Wales and Fiji. The strategic, importance of Fiji was of paramount, important, to the Empire and must therefore be recognised by Australian statesmen. He explained the economic difficulties under which Fiji laboured, and appealed to Australia for generous and sympathetic treatment.
