WEDDING.

MeKEE—HOWARD. Th© wedding was celebrated at St. Mary’s, Manchester Street, Christchurch of Beatrice Ellen, second daughter of Mrs. Howard and the late Mr. M. Howard, and Gregory, third son of Mr. and Mrs. O. McKee, of Wei mate. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Father McKenna, . and Mrs. Halley was organist. Two. dainty maids, Miss Annie Howard, sister of the bride, and Miss Margaret Kane, the niece of the bridegroom, followed th© bride, and the ml© of best man was filled by Mr. Bernard McKee. Mr. J. McKee acted as groomsman. Silver gleamed through the whiteness of the georgette chosen by the bride for her wedding gown. Mounted on filmy lace the frock was designed on simple, effective lines, and worn with a hand-embroidered veil . which, confined about the head with a coronet of orange-blossom, fell to the hem of the skirt. A delicate bouquet, harmonising in colour, lent a further bridal touch to th© costume. A hat of cornflower bine, and: a bouquet of warm autumn-tinted flowers, contrasted delicately with the frock of deep beige georgette worn by Miss Howard in the capacity of first maid. A touch of pink on the hat of champagne colouring harmonised with the frock of deep cameo pink worn by Miss Kane, the second bridesmaid, and roses were fragrant in her bouquet. Th© great-uncle of the bride, Mr. J. Salkeld, escorted his niece. Following the ceremony, Mrs. Howard entertained friends and relatives at Dixieland. Her frock of heavy black silk was touched with Oriental colouring, and l she wore a smart black velvet hat. Red roses -were vivid in her bouquet. Oak apple green charmelaine and a hat of the same shade were chosen by Mrs. M. E. Kane, sister of the bridegroom. Later, the bride travelled in a becoming frock of Sahara rose pink and a wrap of oyster green chenille worn with a velvet hat of the same shade as her gown.
