MANAIA.

(From Our Own Correspondent-.) A schoolboys’ football match between representatives of the Manaia, and Auroa school was played at Manaia last Saturday, and resulted in ai win for the former by eight points to nil. Hitchcock scored two tries, one being converted. Mr. Bicheno very ably controlled tb© game. On- the same day the girls' of the Manaia, public school played a game of basektball against tlie pupils of the Auroa school, and once again Manaia were victors, scoring 13 points to- their opponents-’ six. The hoys- and girls of both teams enjoyed the tourney immensely, and a return match is to be played during the present season.
