The “Financial News” publishes a rumoured offer by a powerful financial syndicate to the Imperial Government for the purchase of the Empire cable and wireless sendees. The Australian delegates to the cable and wireless conference- emphatically deny that any such proposal -is within the knowledge of the conference. __ Mr. Walter Baker, M.P., is questioning Mr. Baldwin on Tuesday whether lie has received an offer to purchase the whole means, of Imperial communications.
