(From Our Own Correspondent.)
The fortnightly euchre party and dance held here last Tuesday proved a great success. There was a large attendance of both euchre players and; dance is. Euchre finished at about half-past ten, the ladies’ prize being won with nine games by Mass B. "Wilson, and the men’s with eight games by Mr. Dempsey. The hall was then cleared and a good supper was handed round by the committee. Dancing was then kept going till well after midnight, Mrs. Dempsey supplying firstclass music. Mrs:, Purvis also played a few very good extras. , It is with regret the district is losing Mr. and Mrs. MoDougall. During tlie ten years Mr. and Mrs. McDougall have been residents they have been very keen in helping with any function to benefit the district. To show the esteem in which they are held, the residents will tender them a farewell social and presentation.
