ATHENS, April 26 Another earthquake, described as disastrous, is reported from Adrianople. Freak tides of exceptional height occurred at Piraeus and elsewhere. A woman aged 120 was killed by the collapse of a ’wall behind which she was sheltering at Corinth to-day. The .British warship Eagle has arrived at Corinth and landed tents, which have been pitched in the central square. The crew distributed bread. More tents are being landed and soupkitchens are being started. The prompt assistance of the British navy is greatly appreciated. A revised list of casualties shows that 103 are dead and 700 injured. TO PREVENT PILLAGING. SEVERE MEASURES IN BULGARIA SOFIA, April 28. Severe measures have been adopted to prevent pillaging throughout the devastated areas. Inhabitants have been forbidden to remain in the streets after nine o’clock in the evening, and the gendarmerie have orders to shoot at sight anyone breaking this rule. Profiteers in food or building material, it has been announced, will be J.en 25 lashes with a whip in the streets, besides having their property conliscated.
