Mingled Pride and Sorrow
MEMORIES OF ANZAC
Glorious Feat of Arms
The Thirteenth Anniversary
The thirteenth anniversary of the glorious feat of arms, which earned for the word Anzac an honoured place in the annals of Empire history, was reverently celebrated yesterday in various portions of Great Britain’s far-reaching domains. Particular significance was attached to the occasion in Australia and New Zealand, whose gallant sons, forming the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, were responsible for welding the now famous name. Throughout these countries the day of pride mingled with sorrow was again observed by the depositing of floral emblems on graves and memoi-ials and the conduct of massed parades arid services.
